Maria’s Story

Maria, the second daughter of Luis & Olinda Floren, was born in Miami, Florida. She and her family moved to North Carolina in 1995 and grew up in Charlotte. Maria works as an urban planner for the City of Charlotte.

Tamaghna’s Story

Tamaghna, the son of Tapash & Sipra Banerjee was born in Kharagpur, West Bengal, India. He and his family moved to Kolkata, India in 1994 where he grew up. Tamaghna works in tech as a Data Engineer.

Our Story

The couple met in 2018, when Tamaghna was living and working in Charlotte. Tamaghna returned to India in 2020, but he and Maria remained in close contact. In 2023, Tamaghna was relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area, and Maria and Tamaghna began their long distance relationship. In May 2024, Tamaghna proposed to Maria, while they were visiting the Mojave Desert in California. She said yes.
